November Fundraiser
Cedar Kitchen is once again generously supporting Help The Kids Play with their Eggs Benedict Fundraiser throughout the month of November. 25% of ALL Eggs Benedict sales will be donated to Help The Kids Play. So come on out and support Help The Kids Play while enjoying their delicious eggs benedict and coffee!
In Memory of
Ed Hopkins
(1940-2024)
Sadly, Ed Hopkins passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Ed was born December 21, 1940, and grew up on the family farm in the town of Holt, ON.
Ed was the founder and driving force behind HTKP for the past 18 years.
He had a tremendous impact on the lives of many people.
Ed’s passion for helping others, especially kids, has had a lasting impact on many of us.
HTKP will continue to serve our community in his honour.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
The family has advised that memorial donations for Ed can be made by e-transfer to David Connolly at david@helpthekidsplay.ca, or by check via regular mail to HTKP c/o Tim Osmond at 6825 3rd line Tottenham L0G 1W0
HTKP is celebrating its 17th anniversary in 2023 and since its inception it has supported over 500 applicants.
The recreational activities vary for each child and include but are not limited to hockey, dance, soccer, swimming, football and theatre. The recreational opportunities allow children to participate in activities that enhance their personal growth and well-being.
HTKP hosts an annual ball tournament to generate funds for the organization which is also complemented by contributions from local business and charity organization. The slo-pitch ball leagues of Tottenham that participate and organise our annual ball tournament are: The Tottenham Oldtimers and Tottenham Ladies Lob-ball.
HTKP is only able to support the New Tecumseth areas which reflects the composition of the leagues that participate in the fundraising activities.
